Well, had my last meal, now it’s time to just try to zone out and fall asleep. Hard to believe I’m getting a bone graft tomorrow morning. Not something I ever thought would happen to me, but then again, I never thought in a million years I’d be going through what I’m going through. Thanks to all you guys that have called and sent text messages tonight wishing me luck. That means a lot. Well, not gonna make this a long one so I don’t think too hard on this and just try to crash out and actually get a couple hours of sleep. Will post a report on how it goes when I’m up to it. Might be a couple days, so if it is, don’t freak, no idea how long it’s gonna take to bounce back from this one.

So a bunch of old friends back home in St. Louis have really pulled alot of strings and busted alot of humps to pull together one hell of a benefit show to help out. Just look at the amount of bands they have playing. Should be a great time. Wish I could be there, but blood clots are not my friends. So you all will have to take lots of pics and tell me about it. Can’t wait to hear.

Well, it took a minute with the holidays, but a new year is here. And losing the last couple months of 2011 laid up wasn’t exactly part of the plan. But X-mas and NYE were actually pretty cool. Really chill and laid back which is the way I like it these days. Still blown away by the benefit show back in December. It was really awesome to see everyone come out and support the cause.

Now that 2012 is here there are a few things cooking. One is for all you folks back in the midwest. Alot of the guys back there have put together one huge hell of a show to help out yours truly including over 12 bands, and one hell of a good time. Check out the flyer on here.

There’s also news of another show to help out here in the greater Los Angeles area being held at The Viper Room from what I understand. Still no information on that one other than hearing that it’s happening. Also there will be an art/music collectables auction coming up too. This was suppose to be happening sooner than later but we had a little hiccup with the person putting it together and they have since backed out. So as soon as we get it all back together you will be sure to hear about it.

OK, time to get things going as I have therapy this afternoon.

The only word I have for how the fund raiser went the other night is AMAZING. So blown away by how many people came out to help and have a good time. I felt like I had just married into an Italian family at one point with the line of people waiting to say hello. Can honestly say it was one of the most moving best nights of my life. Flat out. My friend Heath was shooting all night, so as soon as I get images from him, I’ll post a link up so you can check it out. Also working on getting the online store up and running so people can order shirts and posters as I’ve been getting requests to do. So that will be coming soon. 2nd round of physical therapy at 3 today. Hopefully it won’t kick my ass too bad.

Ok, gotta jam.

Dragonfly Show, New Image, Booty, The Future, and BEYONDDDDDD!!!!!!!

Oh fuck people, have you ever had a body part removed from you and then it get’s put back and you have to recover from that? Yeah, I hadn’t either till now and one big word comes to mind. MOTHERFUCKER!!!! That spins into the shirt that Michael Hamel designed for the benefit tonight. He also made a pretty kick ass poster. Something even a seeing eye dog owner would say, “man that looks pretty gnar bud”, so we really hope you like them. They’ll be for sale at the show tonight and if there’s any left, you can order them online afterwards.

Also wanted say thanks to Anthony at The Dragonfly for hosting the show tonight, and Ricky Middlesworth for doing the portrait you see at the top of this site. They’re just 2 more examples of friends who’ve gone above and beyond to help me out during this totally shitty situation.

As for the future, man I just want to walk and run again. Be able to kick a half a beer someone left on the curb should I feel the urge. And tomorrow starts the slow road back to that with the first Physical Therapy session. No idea what to expect, but I’m guessing moderate amounts of pain and hopefully some progress. And if they could get some of this swelling to go down too, that would be rad.

Alright, time to make breakfast and get some stuff done.

I think this may be a new record. I’ve been up every 20 minutes. Talk about a pain in the ass. We had a pretty mellow Thanksgiving 2011. And didn’t even do Turkey cause it was too crazy to try to get to the store. Thinking some of that tryptophan might have done me some good now though. But it was a pretty good day. A lot of Rummy 500, Christmas music on 94.7 and great company. Just wish I could sleep through the night. I think it’s the swelling that’s causing me to continually wake up, but can’t say for sure. All I know is that this is the King of Discomfort.

Also looks like these guys have pulled together the first fund raiser. It’s going to be on the 6th of December, so try to keep that date open on your calendars if you can. I will have details on it today and will post it up here and also have it on Facebook. I’m really looking forward to it as it will be my first time out of the house not related to a Dr. Visit. Hope to see you all there.
